Trail 7

Just a quick 10 mile trip today. Which sounds a little crazy compared to how I used to view hikes. Mom and Jenn joined us again for this stretch, giving them both a significant amount of this first section of the PCT done!

The weather today was a little warm but mostly mild and enjoyable. The terrain is composed of flowing brown grassland, vastly different from what we have been hiking through so far, punctuated by small tree coverings, babbling brooks, and the iconic and picturesque Eagle Rock.

Usually I try to draw something mentally from my experiences each day, but today I was a bit frustrated and distracted. Yesterday while finishing our resupply strategy, it put us finishing in Canada on Oct. 1, a full month past when I originally expected to. This sent me into a decent panic attack for a number of reasons and is still weighing heavily on my mind.
